• Reusing and refilling personal, bathroom, and household products can greatly cut down on waste and pollution. In Australia, millions of single-use plastic containers for shampoo, soap, and cleaning supplies are thrown away each year, adding to plastic pollution. The total packaging waste from business-to-consumer transactions is a massive 1,069,700 tonnes annually (Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation, page 93).
