Spend time with the people you care about, make hilarious memories and give yourselves plenty to talk about afterwards.
Plan a sunrise swim, an overnight relay, a massive club ride, or something completely ridiculous. The Mission is yours to make your own.
The ocean, trails, parks and streets are where we move, connect and make our best memories. Let’s do our bit to protect them.
Knowing what to do can feel overwhelming. We make it simple: choose one action, take it together and watch your collective impact add up.
Climb the international leaderboard, complete Snap Challenges and see how your club stacks up — with epic prizes on the line.
Your club’s actions ripple far beyond your own members. Share the fun, celebrate your impact and inspire other communities.
No sponsorship. No entry fees. Your pledge is your ticket, and with 40+ planet-friendly actions there’s something for everyone.
A 10 km midnight swim. Treadmill walks with a newborn strapped on. Sydney to Palm Beach overnight under your own steam. Yep — all of it has happened.
The 48 Hour Mission is open to sports clubs, crews, community groups and teams of every kind.
You don’t need to be the biggest, fastest or fittest — just a few people ready to take action and move together.
No club? No problem. Join an existing team, create a group with your mates or take part as an individual.

Nothing. The 48 Hour Mission is free to join. Your pledge is your entry ticket and your behaviour is your currency.
Your Team Lead registers the club, shares the Mission with members and helps bring the team together. We provide ready-to-use communications, social assets, instructions, activity ideas and reminders to make it easy.
You don’t need a huge club to take part. Small teams and groups of mates are welcome alongside larger communities.
Not at all. You can walk the dog, ride with friends, swim a few laps or run a marathon. The Mission is for every pace and ability, and every kilometre counts.
No. Members can participate wherever they are. Your club can also organise its own group activities during the weekend.
Strava is the easiest way to track your activity during the Mission. If you don’t use it, your Team Lead can help make sure your activity is recorded.
A pledge is a practical planet-friendly action — eating more plant-based meals, avoiding takeaway cups, choosing renewable energy or travelling under your own steam. Participants choose from more than 40 pledges and put their action into practice for 21 days.
Yes. You can join an existing team, create a team with your mates or take part as an individual.
Each pledge is connected to an estimated environmental impact, such as greenhouse-gas emissions or waste avoided. Our platform combines these estimates to show the potential impact of individual, team and Mission-wide action.
